Science & Engineering FairShowcase your Science Knowledge

Students who participate in science fairs deepen their knowledge in a specific topic, strengthen their public speaking and presentation skills, exercise their ability to defend their ideas and surround themselves with like-minded science peers. The Regional Science & Engineering Fair winners move on to the Kansas State Science Fair, which leads to the national competition that offers students the opportunity to compete for prizes and accolades.

2023 Information

All projects are subject to review by a Scientific Review Committee. Revisions or rejection of a project may be required upon recommendation by the Scientific Review Committee. Affiliated with the Kansas State Science and Engineering Fair.

The deadline to register for the 2023 Science & Engineering Fair is February 17.

Division I: Grades 9 -12
Division II: Grades 6 – 8
Division III: Grades 4 – 5
Division IV: Grades 1-3, pre-ISEF

All entries must follow the guidelines for the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF).

The Wichita Regional Science and Engineering Fair is open to all students grades 1-12 from the following counties, with grades 4-12 being eligible to advance to the Kansas State Science Fair:

Be a Judge

We are looking for a few good judges for the Wichita Regional Science & Engineering Fair on Friday, March 3! Come share your expertise with local youth showing off their inventions and experiments! It is requested that judges be at the Fair from 9 am until 2 pm. Lunch is provided.
