Showcase your Science KnowledgeWichita Regional Science and Engineering Fair

Students who participate in science fairs deepen their knowledge in a specific topic, strengthen their public speaking and presentation skills, exercise their ability to defend their ideas and surround themselves with like-minded science peers.

Please note that the Kansas State Science and Engineering Fair will not take place this year; therefore, there will be no advancement beyond the regional level. While this is a change from past years, our regional fair remains a valuable opportunity for students to engage in scientific exploration, present their research, and receive feedback from judges and peers.

Students in grades 3–12 who are interested in continuing their science fair experience beyond the regional level are encouraged to participate in the Greater Kansas City Science and Engineering Fair. Be a Judge

Academic and industry professionals are needed to serve as judges for the fair. Judges will be asked to review projects based on their expertise and will be given a rubric in which to follow. Students submitting projects are given the rubric in advance in order to properly prepare their projects.

Schedule: Breakfast at 8:30 am. Judging 9 am – 1:30 pm. Awards ceremony at 2:30 pm.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
