Have you ever wanted to run away and join the circus? Now is your chance! This summer, Exploration Place is bringing an exciting exhibit to Wichita all about the science of the Circus. Highlights will include a 12 foot tall high wire for guests to conquer and an acrobatics trampoline to bounce, flip and twist. We need Circus Attraction Safety Trainers (CAST), to join us and help make this summer a spectacular success.

Exploration Place is searching for energetic, detail and safety oriented people. Our CAST members are responsible for ensuring that all participants in high wire and trampoline experiences are safely harnessed according to best practices. They will be responsible for spotting participants who may be in danger, and for communicating any safety concerns to Exploration Place management. Comprehensive technical and safety training will be provided, but we need you to bring your energy and personality.

CAST members must have excellent judgment and a keen eye for safety and detail. They must be able to effectively communicate with visitors of all ages, and be comfortable in a customer focused environment.

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

• At least 1 year of experience training or supervising sports activities (life guard, gymnast, climbing instructor)
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer service oriented
• Comfortable working at heights ranging from 5-20 feet above ground with the ability to kneel, climb and cross high ropes equipment without fear.
• Able to stand in one place for long periods of time.

CAST members must also be able to work as part of a team, and be available to work weekends and evenings as needed. This seasonal position will offer between 20-30 hours per week from May 1, 2023 through September 4, 2023.
