Camp Educators

Camp Educators

Are you passionate about education and working with children? Exploration Place is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible summer camp educator to lead children aged 7-13 through engaging, themed hands-on activities. You will be responsible for instructing and supervising campers, and completing basic reporting for groups of about 15 children. You will also be responsible for preparing and cleaning up after each lesson.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience working with children, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid driver’s license. A Bachelor’s degree in education or science and First Aid/CPR/AED certification is preferred. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. All candidates must pass a federal background check with fingerprinting and a drug screen.

Paid training is provided. This seasonal position will run from May 29, 2023 through August 11, 2023. No phone calls will be accepted. Exploration Place is an equal opportunity employer.

Assistant Camp Educators

Assistant Camp Educators

Are you passionate about education and working with children? Exploration Place is seeking enthusiastic and responsible assistant summer camp educators to work with summer educators and assist in leading children aged 7-13 through engaging, themed hands-on activities. You will be responsible for supervising campers, distributing snacks and supplies and other related tasks, for approximately 15 children. You will also be responsible for preparing and cleaning up after each lesson.

Before & After Camp Care

Before & After Camp Care

Are you passionate about education and working with children? Exploration Place is seeking enthusiastic and responsible before and after care summer camp educators to inspire our campers, aged 7-13, during before and after care sessions for summer 2023.  You will be responsible for assisting with camp activities, preparing snacks and maintaining clean camp areas and rooms.

The ideal candidate must be at least 18 years of age, have at least 6 months of job-related experience working with children and have a valid driver’s license. First Aid/CPR/AED certification is preferred. Fluency in Spanish is a plus. All candidates must pass a federal background check with fingerprinting and a drug screen.  There are two shifts for this position, the early shift is 6:30 am – 2:30 pm and the late shift is 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.

CampStaff Main

Summer Camp Staff 2023

Each summer Exploration Place provides week-long camps to over 800 kids in the Wichita metro area. Camp themes encourage the exploration of STEM topics and invites kids to discover a love of learning through hands-on, fun, innovate programs and activities. Camp staff serve an important role in this experience and we are excited to see what 2023 has in store.
