How to Get To Exploration Place

You can easily access our museum, as we are centrally located in downtown Wichita, Kansas, along the scenic Arkansas River. If you drive, major streets including McLean Boulevard and First/Second lead you conveniently to our main entrance. You can also access us via several walking paths that surround our museum and grounds.

Driving Directions

Take Kellogg (Highway 54/400) to the Seneca Street exit and turn north, onto Seneca. Go north on Seneca for about 1 mile and turn right (east) onto McLean Boulevard. Follow McLean until you see our main entrance on the left (north) side of the road.

Pull up and drop off your passengers in our newly renovated circle drive, then park in one of the many convenient, free parking spaces. Buses can drop off and pick up in the circle drive. Parking for buses, trailers, etc., are available to the west end of the lot.

Note: Parking lot gates open at 8 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. daily.

Public Transportation

City bus routes run by our museum, and taxis are available if you call for a ride. Most out-of-town visitors, who don’t have personal vehicles, will either walk from nearby hotels, rent a vehicle or use a rideshare service.
