Group FAQs

• What is considered a group?

  Groups are considered anyone with 15 or more people who are paying on one ticket. Examples of groups are teams, clubs, Scout troops/packs, large family/friends attending together, etc.

  If you are attending with a school, our Field Trips page is full of resources for your visit.

• Do groups get discounts?

  Yes, if the group is 15 or more and they pay on one ticket, the discount is $1 per ticket for exhibit admission.

• Do groups need Reservations?

  No, groups do not require a reservation. Group rates are available any day/time that the museum is open.

  However, if we have advance notice to expect a large group the Hospitality Manager can assist with accommodations for the group such as seating and catering arrangements with preferred vendors.

• What happens when groups arrive?

  Please check-in at the front ticket counter. We will help you process payment, including any applicable discounts, at that time.

• What food options does Exploration Place offer?

  Exploration Place has a Snack Bar in the lobby that is perfect for cold drinks and quick snacks. Unfortunately, we can’t guarantee quick service or full meal options. Should you have a definite need for catering, we can offer a list of preferred vendors to choose from.

  Outside food and drink is welcome. Please be aware that there is not any storage or storage lockers available inside the building. If someone in your group wants to run out to a vehicle to retrieve lunches, that is no problem. Just have them touch base with the front desk before they exit and when they re-enter.

  There is limited seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Hospitality Manager can assist with accommodations for the group if you contact them in advance. (316) 660-0642 or [email protected].
