Behind every beautiful garden is a community that cares for it. Every Wednesday, gardeners, plant lovers and outdoor enthusiasts gather at Exploration Place for a few hours of fresh air, conversation and hands-on work.
Together, we help care for the landscapes surrounding the Adventure Playscape and the amphitheater to keep these spaces thriving all season long.
No RSVP needed and no experience is required. Come once or make it part of your weekly routine!

What to Expect
- Work alongside fellow gardeners, plant enthusiasts and community members who enjoy getting their hands dirty.
- Help with seasonal tasks such as weeding, tidying garden beds and keeping pathways and planting areas looking their best.
- Learn about the plants, flowers and grasses that make up more than 50,000 plants across Exploration Place’s outdoor spaces.
- Come for an hour or stay for the morning. Every helping hand makes a difference, and there’s always plenty of work to go around.
- Individuals and groups welcome!
