Due to work on water lines by the City of Wichita, Exploration Place will be closed Monday, May 14. We will re-open on Tuesday, May 15, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Exploration Place is closed in observance of Christmas.

Effective immediately, Exploration Place will close as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of COVID-19.

We made this decision with heavy hearts, but with the health and safety of visitors, volunteers and staff as our top priority. Closing our doors temporarily will reduce the potential of transmission in the lively hands-on environment that Exploration Place is when filled with visitors. For those who have booked spring break camps, birthday parties, field trips and facility rentals, we sincerely apologize for the disruption. Our staff will contact you to discuss rescheduling and refunds, or you can call/email the following:
