Go beyond the exhibit and discover the science that made one of history’s most famous discoveries possible. Through hands-on STEM stations and a live mini-show, guests can explore the challenges of deep-sea exploration, from pressure and buoyancy to density and submarine technology. Experiment with interactive activities, look through a working periscope and learn how scientists investigate places humans can rarely reach.
Throughout the day, gather for Pressure in the Deep, a live 10-minute mini-show inspired by the expedition led by Robert Ballard. Through storytelling, demonstrations and a surprising true story rooted in Cold War history, guests will uncover how a classified Navy mission ultimately led to the discovery of Titanic. It’s a fascinating look at the science, technology and ingenuity behind exploring the deepest parts of our planet.
