Join us for a family-friendly party that embraces the fun and silly side of Halloween.
Challenge your friends to interactive games in the Halloween Hall exhibit, trick-or-treat throughout the museum, take a spin around an old fashioned cupcake walk, cool off with a scoop of ice cream chilled by liquid nitrogen, breathe smoke like a dragon and be the star of kid karaoke in Kemper theater.
Wear your costumes and invite your friends – BooFest is going to be a blast!

What is Halloween Hall?
Our featured temporary exhibit for October features interactive games with a Halloween twist.
Get ready for a spook-tacular mix of tech-tastic activities that don’t need any hocus-pocus to bring the magic and delight! Our bewitching hands-on games will have little witches and wizards cackling with fun as they stay enchanted, entertained and fantastically active. It’s a cauldron of entertainment where pixels meet pumpkins, ensuring a wickedly good time for all the little monsters and mummies!
- This event is appropriate for all age levels.
- Each person in attendance will need to have an event ticket, including parents and grown ups. Children 2 and under are free.
- BooFest is a special event and it is not included in the All-Access Pass or any membership level and will require a separate, paid ticket per person attending.
- There are no refunds available for special events. The only valid tickets are those purchased through Exploration Place.
