Science Educator (Part-time)
Seeking an enthusiastic informal science educator with IT experience to conduct educational science and technology programs as they relate to the Exploration Place experience and informal learning. This dynamic educator will work with all ages through museum-based and outreach programs. He or she will perform many duties such as developing and presenting programs for a variety of audience sizes, delivering hands-on activities, facilitating inquiry-based learning, and serving as a program and education resource for visitors and staff. May include weekends and holidays as required. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required. Demonstrated experience teaching science to groups of children in a dynamic, fun, engaging, high paced environment is highly preferred. Bachelor's degree in education or science is preferred. Visitor Services Associate (Part-time)
Responsibilities include: greeting visitors, selling tickets, food and store products, conducting tours, helping with before and aftercare for camp participants, balancing cash drawers, answering phone calls, etc. Hours will vary. Evening and weekend hours are required. Visitor Services Associates must be enthusiastic, friendly and comfortable interacting with the public. Fluency in Spanish a plus.
