Public Programs Associate (part-time)
Responsibilities of this position include: conducting interactive activities for our visitors, working in our Dome Theater and CreatorSpace, performing science demonstrations and assisting with visitors and daily upkeep in our galleries, etc. Visitor Engagement Associates must be enthusiastic, friendly and comfortable interacting with the public. Hours will vary. Evening and weekend hours are required. Fluency in Spanish a plus

Facility Rentals Manager (full-time)
This position's primary responsibility will be to sell and market the organization's rental spaces and to manage all administrative aspects of each sale while meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Further duties include overseeing event set-up, staffing and security and meeting vendor, sponsor or client needs. This position requires excellent written, verbal and customer service skills. A strong work ethic, superior attention to detail and exceptional project management/organizational skills are also desired. Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing or communications required with a minimum of three years event coordination/promotion preferred. Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays. Fluency in Spanish a plus.

Public Programs Manager (full-time)
This newly created position's focus is about inspiring a deeper interest in science through creative and fun experiences for people of all ages. This position will ensure high quality, consistent, enjoyable and educational experiences for guests through the development and implementation of science programs, gallery demonstrations and general public programming. Responsibilities include training and supervising our Public Programs staff, overseeing the Public Programs' budget and direction, evaluating and modifying current programs as necessary. This position will be collaborating with other departments to present effective, entertaining programming during peak demand hours for school groups, exhibit openings and special events. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, professional and positive, with exceptional customer service, presentation and communication skills. Requirements include: Bachelor's degree and experience working with the public in an arts, science or cultural setting. Previous supervisory experience is mandatory. Second language is a plus. The work schedule is generally Tuesday through Saturday with some evenings and holidays. Limited travel may be required.
