Keeping Design Build Fly worthy of Wichita
Take a look toward the skies over Wichita at any given time and the odds are good that a huge, majestic, flying machine will be there - sometimes so close you can almost reach out and touch it.
As awe-inspiring as that sight might be, many of us who have grown up here might take this sight for granted.
What can inspire us to recapture that feeling of inspiration?
When our all-new aviation exhibit, Design Build Fly exhibit opens December 2, your perspective may change as you discover how an airplane is produced, how this work happens right here in Wichita and what an amazing and complex endeavor it is to produce these flying machines.
An enormous amount of effort has been made for this exhibit to be true to our aviation community. We have brought together numerous aviation experts and project partners to help fill the 5,100 square foot exhibit space with one-of-a-kind activities that will bolster a vibrant future with what is the heart and soul of the regional economy - the aviation industry. It has truly been a team effort.
But it is just as important that the exhibit stays current and keeps up with the ever-changing technology of the industry. That's where we need your help. Many in the community have stepped up with support for the exhibit - from our presenting sponsor, Spirit AeroSystems, to our own staff, giving at many different levels. Please consider supporting this exhibit so that we can achieve the goal of keeping it at the high level of quality our community deserves. With a gift of $1,000 or more, you would get an exclusive first-look at this one-of-a-kind exhibit on November 14. However, any amount is greatly appreciated.
And let's remember, we are the Air Capital of the World. Help us realize the dream to ensure that heads keep gazing towards the sky with wonder for years to come. Please give now.
